Ginger Bread

This was an awesome tasting bread, but then I really like ginger.  Everyone always wants to know how things turn out perfect every time, well they don't.  If you look at picture two you'll see that the centers dropped and that happens from time to time.  But if you are serving it to people, look at my third picture where I simply sliced it up into smaller pieces and you'd never know the center dropped.  Plus it makes it easier to take a slice and mingle.


Divinity Candy

This was my first attempt with Divinity Candy and although they don't look pretty, they tasted great.  The next time I make them, I think I'll try to drop them from a pastry bag.

Chocolate Angel Food Cake

I was intrigued by a Chocolate Angel Food Cake when I saw the recipe in my mother's recipe box.  I had never heard of one and decided it was time to get off track in cooking/baking everything in alphabetical order.  Plus Valentine's Day is approaching and that rings of Chocolate.

Banana Cake

Today I make a Banana Cake, that is a recipe from Myrtle Maurer.  This cake is really moist and has a strong banana flavor.

I thought I'd decorate the cake with just a little Caramel Sauce and it was a nice little added touch to this Banana Cake.

Shortbread Cookies


Shortbread Cookies have always been my favorite and it's taken me a long time to find a recipe that I really liked.  Here is one of the easiest recipes I have ever found in my recipe files.  They truly melt in my mouth - YUM!
